FAQ
I can't skate at all. Where do I start?
Start with an adult learn-to-skate class (step 1). Polar Ice's Adult/Teen classes, including at Invisalign Arena, say no skating experience is necessary.
Do I need my own gear?
For learn-to-skate, rental skates are included at the Polar Ice rinks listed here. Hockey classes like Polar Ice Cary's Power Skating require full gear. See the starter gear guide.
How do I join an adult league?
The Polar Adult Hockey League (PAHL) needs a captain's permission to sign up. If you don't have a team, PAHL has a new-player waitlist. Ask about the level before you sign up.
